November is time for the Shichi-Go-San festival in Japan for girls who are 3 and 7 and boys who are 5. It's a celebration of the growth of the child and a time for parents to pray for their children's prosperity. Families typically go to the local shrine for the ceremony and then go to a photo studio. We just went to pray and take a few pictures. Mia's Japan Grandmother got her the beautiful kimono she's wearing for the occasion and she loved wearing it.
