Dada found some lost photos of me this summer in Tucson. I wanna go back in the pool. It's so cold here now.

Thank you all for making Mia's Christmas so special. We still haven't had time to get her a gift yet! Next year hopefully Dada won't be so busy at work and he'll be able to do more for Christmas.

On December 11th we headed up to Ohmihachiman, Shiga to visit Chome-ji temple there. We had a great day and Mia really enjoyed this temple. We rang a bell together and she was really impressed by the pagoda for some reason. The temple staff all really got a kick out of Mia and the backpack. She makes everyone smile. After getting back to the car we played around in the little park which had some grass to run around in. A great day.

We got back to the parking lot just as the sun was setting. Mia got to run around in the grass for a while.

Mia and the Tsuyu Can.

Mia loves carrying around a can of tsuyu (noodle dipping sauce). She loves it so much she brought it to bed last night. It's one of her treasures.
Her other treasures are, but not limited to:

• Mama and Dada's iPhones.
• Dada's old, and now ripped up, Lonely Planet Japan guidebook.
• Dada's tape basket.

We hiked (well *Dada* hiked) up the 808 steps to Chome-ji (長命寺) in Ohmihachiman, Shiga today. Beautiful temple and more photos and stuff will be coming soon on this blog and over at Dada's blog. On the way down Mia wanted to hold the walking stick. She looks very proud of herself, don't you think?

Mia taking a quick sip of from her favorite can of tsuyu* before going back to drawing.

*She's not actually drinking the tsuyu (a type of dipping broth for noodles) it would be way too salty. That is her favorite can from our pantry and she finds it an carries it around at least once a day. Often she takes sips from the closed can just as dada does from his cans of beer.

A nice warm autumn Sunday gave us the chance to go to Settsukyo Park in Takatsuki for a nice walk, a dip in a supersento and a great hamburger. The latter two will appear on my other blog and website in due time.

It's nice getting a photo with Mia in the backpack again. This thing is great. I get so many complements and looks when I'm walking around with Mia in it. No one uses them in Japan Best of all, Mia loves riding in it!

I made a new friend. His name is Watson. I like to pet him and he likes to follow me around the house. I've given him snacks and he watches me as I sleep. I love my new friend Watson.

Mia In America Pt. 1 - My First Flight

I'm in America for the first time. Dada and Mama are so happy to take me to see my Mamajilla, Uncle Adam and Aunt Molly. I've been so excited that I've been waving and talking to everyone... and guess what everyone has been so nice to me. They say I am cute! I guess I am.

The nice bus driver gave me a fan with Pikachu. I held it all the way through the airport. ANA lady gave me a place to sit too.

My stroller was so nice. They even decorated it with origami!

Here I am getting ready to fly to Tokyo. It was my first flight. I was a little scared and I cried a little bit.

On my second flight to Los Angeles the nice ANA lady gave me a lunch. It has a very cute Kuma-chan on it. Is that Dada?!?!

My yummy lunch. So much food. I couldn't eat it all.

After all that food I had to sleep. The second flight wasn't that scary and I only cried a few times when Dada and Mama didn't hold me right.

Aunt Molly picked us up at the noisy Airport. After setting up a new *PINK* chair for me in Aunt Molly's car we went to our hotel. I slept for 4 hours and about 2AM I wanted to play so I woke up Mama and Dada. They played with me all morning. It was fun, but Mama and Dada looked tired.

The hotel is very nice but there's a noisy line of cars out the window. It's very different than home. The weather is much colder. I needed my jacket this morning.

Dada had brought me all these papers to scrunch up and throw around. That was fun until he took them away. Why'd he do that?

We went to breakfast. It was in a colorful building with many UFOs on the ceiling.

Mama had the pancakes and eggs. Dada had the potato panckakes. He was happy to eat sour cream. He also got applesauce. I liked eating the applesauce, but the pancakes were the best. I also had some yummy orange juice.
