Mia's Park Review: Itami Sky Park!

20120916-ItamiSkyPark-5

Dada and I went to the park on Sunday. We went to Itami Sky Park in Itami city. We had to take the train and bus to get there. At the park you can watch the big planes taking off and landing at Itami (Osaka) International Airport. The planes make a whole lot of noise, but they are fun to watch.

I got to fly my own plane too!

To get to the park from Hankyu Itami Station, get on the bus heading to the airport (神津経由大阪国際空港行き) or Iwaya (岩屋循環) from stop #6. From JR Itami Station, take the bus to Iwaya (岩屋循環) from stop #6 also. It takes 10 to 20 minutes on the bus, depending on traffic. If you're heading back to the JR or Hankyu stations, get the bus from the stop in front of the 7-11. That 7-11 is also good for getting anything you might want to use at the park.

The park is free. There is a lot of parking, which isn't free. There's a little food stall and many vending machines selling juice and ice cream. There's a fountain that little kids can play in so bring your bathing suit and a towel just in case.

Itami Sky Park gets 4.5 out of 5 Miyu Points!

  1. What a great place for a park... Planes everywhere and great use of land.

When I was younger, back in the stone age, we would drive down to the end of the runway and watch the planes takeoff and land. It was great fun !

    Wonderful fun !

    cheers, parsnip
